Through regular meetings and knowledge exchange, the team is jointly developing automated systems to monitor pig welfare in slaughterhouses.
These collaborations have sparked valuable discussions across several key areas:
– Tracking pigs from farm to slaughter
– Automated measurement of skin and tail lesions
– Effective communication of results to stakeholders
The ultimate aim of aWISH is to provide meaningful, data-driven feedback to all stakeholders in the production chain, supporting continuous improvement in animal welfare standards.
We look forward to continuing these discussions and building on the progress made so far.
