On 24 February 2026, ILVO had the pleasure of welcoming researchers participating in the staff mobility and exchange programme of the TALLHEDA project (Transforming Access to Excellence with Successful Alliances of Higher Education in Digital Agriculture – GA N°: 101136578).
The day kicked off with introductions by ILVO and AUA-UNSFA, followed by an engaging lecture by Simon Verlinde, Pieter-Jan De Temmerman, and Jarissa Maselyne on computer vision in Precision Livestock Farming (PLF). This was followed by a brainstorming session with the ILVO PLF team, where insights on PLF, data use, and computer vision were exchanged, and experiences and challenges were shared over lunch.
In the afternoon, the guests joined the ILVO PLF team meeting, which focused on data-driven innovation. The programme included presentations on AgData, CEADS, DjustConnect, and future perspectives on data sharing.
To wrap up the visit, colleagues attended demonstrations on precision agriculture technologies and robotics.
A great day of knowledge exchange, collaboration, and inspiration!
